Volunteers are integral to the successful operation of the Bow Valley Food Bank.....
Download a Online Volunteer Application Form, fill it out and click "Submit" or "Print" to print it off, then mail it to us or bring it with you when you come in.
Once we received your volunteer application form, BVFB Volunteer Orientation Coordinator will contact you to schedule "Volunteer Orientation", please make sure to have your "RCMP Security Check" ready before your orientation date. You will be also asked to sign "Confidentiality Agreement".
Whether you are an individual, a school group, looking for a corporate team-building activity, or a way to give back, there are many opportunities to get involved at Bow Valley Food Bank such as:
- Sorting and Organizing Food Donations
- Hamper Preparation
- Monday/Wednesday shifts (taking client applications)
- Tuesday/Thursday/Friday shifts(hamper pick up)
- Maintenance(painting/building)
- Cleaning(fridge/vacuuming/shelves)
- Recycling
- Food Pick Up
- Bulk Food Re-Packaging
- Fund Raising
- Food Purchasing
Most shifts for the volunteer opportunities are during Bow Valley Food Bank’s business hours. There are Monday & Wednesday, 6:00pm - 7:00pm, Tuesday, noon - 1:00pm & 6:00pm - 7:00pm, Thursday, 6:00pm - 7:00pm.
